Had a rough day with dad today. He was very frustrated and pushy regarding his doctor and medications. I finally got him to get semi calm about it. I had the nurse call him and he told me how that went “which is embarrassing”…. Surprise. He said he told her “he really didn’t have a doctor”. He said “if he is having “an emergency” he wants a doctor “now….. I attempted to explain that emergencies are for the ER. He also told her he was told he couldn’t get his Metformin until he went to his next doc apt and that was too far out. He doesn’t realize “he” is the one that caused it. He told them not too long ago he didn’t want to take it because it was giving him diarrhea so they told him that he should stop taking it and discuss it with the doctor on the next apt. So, I guess the nurse was over him and just called it in.
